Wintercoats :: The Overture

Temperatures are slowly dropping here in North America and it’s around this time that I start to seek out songs to score the approaching crisp, cool fall evenings. There’s warmth to be found even when summer’s gone, and fortunately, there’s plenty of it to go around on Wintercoat’s recently released Cathedral EP. We have Melbourne’s James Wallace to thank for these softly woven string arrangements and idyllic vocal harmonies. It’s dry, and it’s saturated. It’s cold, and it’s solace. It makes me excited for fall, and it’s available for free download here.

Missing the cold, the crisp air, big coats, the leaves.
